Lawn Renovation
At Green Fingers Lawn Care, we specialise in restoring tired, patchy or moss-infested lawns to their full potential. Whether your lawn has suffered from disease, poor soil conditions, or years of neglect, our expert team can revitalise it using a tailored approach.

Step 1
Lawn Health Check
Every lawn is unique and so every lawn renovation project begins with a detailed lawn assessment. We evaluate the current condition, identifying issues such as excessive thatch, moss invasion, soil compaction and weak grass growth.
Based on our findings, we design a custom lawn renovation plan that is suited to your lawn’s specific needs.

Step 2
Lawn Preparation
Depending on the level of deterioration, we take one of two approaches:
Rejuvenating the Existing Lawn – Using professional equipment, we remove moss, thatch and weak grass to create the ideal environment for fresh growth.
Full Lawn Renewal – For severely damaged lawns, we may recommend applying a specialist herbicide to clear the existing vegetation, so that we can start from a clean slate.

Step 3
Soil Optimisation & Seeding
We select high-quality grass seed blends, tailored to your lawn’s environment. Our seed varieties offer superior resilience and self-repair properties, and are suited to both sunny and shaded areas.
In fact, seeding is particularly effective in shady areas, where turfing struggles to establish.
To enhance the results, we may also carry out:
Aeration – Relieves soil compaction and improves root access to nutrients and water.
Scarification – Removes thatch build-up, allowing space for grass to grow.
Top Dressing – Improves soil structure and supports seed germination.
There is no denying that lawn renovation is a budget-friendly solution compared to laying new turf. Although the process requires more time and effort than turfing, you can look forward to a lush, natural lawn at a fraction of the cost.
The best time to renovate a lawn is in autumn, when conditions support strong re-growth. For a free lawn survey and quotation, please give us a call today on 01472314550.
